A range of special limited edition 50th anniversary products, conference system antennas and new microphone models will all be shown by Audio-Technica at ISE 2012 between 31 January – 2 February at Amsterdam RAI.
2012 sees Audio-Technica celebrate “50 Years Of Passionate Listening”, and to mark the occasion no less than six ‘anniversary’ microphones and two headphones are released in limited numbers with special finishes.
The AT4050URUSHI and AT4050/LE multi-pattern condensers, AE6100/LE hypercardioid dynamic, AE5400/LE cardioid condenser, AE4100/LE cardioid dynamic and ATM25/LE hypercardioid dynamic microphones and ATH-M50/LE and ATH-PRO700Mk2ANV headphones all feature distinctive 50th Anniversary design and colour schemes, with the AE5400/LE and 4050 models supplied in hand-crafted wooden carrying cases.
The LE models sport a silvered metallic ‘Anniversary’ finish with blue accents, while the stunning AT4050URUSHI is treated to a traditional Japanese Urushi lacquer finish with hand painted maple leaves. The DJ-specific PRO700Mk2ANV features a suitably edgy black-and-gold finish for its Anniversary incarnation. Of special note among the above is the ATM25/LE, a re-emergence of the classic ATM25 hypercardioid dynamic mic, ideal for kick drum, toms and other highly dynamic instruments.
The ATCS-60 infrared conference system adds significant benefits with the arrival of the new ATCS-A60TX transmitter and ATCS-A60RX receiver. Designed to increase operating range of the system and in turn improve flexibility, the new antennas are used in conjunction with the new ATCS-A60MX controller unit.
The new system enables use in high-ceiling locations and, importantly, installations where antennas are positioned from the side, making the new receiver ideal for portable applications. This adds welcome versatility to the ATCS-60, allowing for use in changing conference environments.
Demonstrations of the complete ATCS-60 conference system will be taking place throughout ISE 2012, to enable visitors to understand the functions and security benefits of the system as a whole.
Audio-Technica will also be showing its new ATM510 and ATM610a dynamic handheld microphones at ISE 2012. The hypercardioid ATM610a is tuned for clear, detailed vocal reproduction, while its tight pickup pattern and newly designed internal shock mount reduces handling noise and promotes isolation of the sound source.
The ATM510 also benefits from a new shock mount design for low handling noise. The ruggedly built microphone is designed for a smooth, natural response and its cardioid pickup pattern ensures excellent off-axis rejection to minimise feedback.
All of the above products will be displayed on the Audio-Technica booth (1K78) during ISE 2012.
